Our Initiatives for Human- and Eco- Friendly Resource Recycling Systems and Environmental Issues
We have established a technology to extract and recover molybdenum and vanadium from used heavy oil desulfurization catalysts at oil refinery plants. This technology was commercialized in 1978.
Our recycling system contributes to the protection of the global environment. It ensures a stable supply of molybdenum and vanadium using our unique recovery technology. It also provides stability of high quality products through our advanced purification process. As a result, we can reuse precious rare metals that depend on imports.
Today, our molybdenum has achieved higher purity and quality and is often used not only as a desulfurization catalyst, but also as a raw material for petrochemical catalysts. And it is continually evolving.

Environmental Initiatives
Toward the realization of the 2030 Sustainable Development Goals and a carbon-neutral society by 2050, we are committed to a world where the earth and society are sustainable. To achieve this goal, we are developing new recycling technologies, preserving forests, investing in environmental projects, and making various other efforts.
